Giraffes are regular visitors to the campsite and are often seen browsing in the nearby acacia trees. Excellent cheetah, lion and leopard sightings around the nearby Seronera River make this area a great camping location.

There is also an opportunity to visit the Olduvai Gorge where links to our earliest ancestors have been found. An excellent museum on site shows the story of the area millions of years ago and tells of the research being done in trying to uncover as much information as possible regarding the early history of Africa.
