Between June and October, wildlife congregates in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania because of the water resources there. Large numbers of animals including Elephant, Wildebeest, Gazelle, Buffalo, Eland, Zebra and Oryx gather at the shrinking pools and drying river bed during the dry season.
Lemala Tarangire has a superb location in the park, close to the Silale Swamp, the Tarangire River and the Kuro airstrip. On the east bank of Lake Manyara, the Tarangire River crosses the Tarangire National Park from north to south.
