On Tanzania Safari at Lemala Tarangire
Stylish Lemala Tarangire is a traditional seasonal camp offering an authentic and intimate Tanzania safari experience. Located near the permanent Tarangire River and the vast Silale Swamp, this Tanzania safari lodge offers a ringside seat for the abundant game movements during the dry season.
The natural water resources in this region of Tarangire National Park attract vast Elephant and Buffalo herds together with the big cats and over 500 species of birds between June and October, allowing guests to maximize game viewing opportunities from dawn to dusk on a Tanzania safari.
Wildlife wanders past Lemala Tarangire all day during the dry season heading towards the river beds or the swamps. At night, Elephant browse on the Acacia trees around camp and then move on. Lemala game drives can depart early morning to reach the key areas before other visitors and then disappear into quieter areas with more time for quality game viewing.
Lemala Tarangire 4x4 Landcruisers are open sided and designed specifically for long game drives. Each vehicle is equipped with charging units, a large drinks refrigerator and 7 comfortable seats. On full day game drives delicious picnic breakfasts and lunches are supplied by the camp chefs.
At the onset of rains in November, the game disperses back into the surrounding areas including Manyara. For this reason, from December to March, Lemala Tarangire Camp relocates inside Manyara National Park.
